Shannon Phipps

Writer. Director. Producer.

Shannon is an international award-winning writer, director, and producer who loves to tell funny and passionate stories that reflect truth. She also founded Phipper Films — a playful take on her last name.

She completed writing her first feature speculative script, Lost Luggage, in 2015 and has since written seven additional feature scripts including Santa’s Boots, a co-write sold to Lifetime and premiered on the network as a Lifetime Original.

Additionally, she has written MOW treatments and pitches, multiple sitcom pilots with series show bibles, a crime-drama pilot with teaser, and three web series. She's written seven feature scripts including her current project, Unsafe Faith which won Best Screenplay at Faith Fest in 2025 along with six additional awards. She is currently in development of a comedy sitcom, an action feature, and a thriller feature.

In 2017, Shannon directed and produced the pilot episode of the sitcom, Corporately Challenged, her directorial debut and went on to win Best Television Pilot at the Austin Indie Fest. In 2020, she wrote, directed, and produced the series The Virtual End, which went on to win a Telly Award. The short series, Difficult Conversations, which she also wrote, directed and produced, won Best Short Series at the Toronto Shorts International Film Festival.

Phipper Films is currently in development of the feature project, Unsafe Faith.
